Research projects carried out in conjunction with important orthopaedic hospitals (e.g. ISTITUTI ORTOPEDICI RIZZOLI) and universities, in cooperation with public institutions (Ministry of Health, the Region of Emilia Romagna, Southern Bologna Area Health Authority, Italian National Insurance Authority) have qualified Porretta as a centre at the forefront of spa water rehabilitation.
